Education Consulting Services

In addition to our assessment services, Acorn Psychology offers education consulting services to help support your child or teen’s success at school. These services are designed to bridge the gap between home, school, and psychological support.

    • Review of Individualized Program Plans (IPPs) or Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), with recommendations to ensure they align with your child’s unique learning profile.

    • Guidance and feedback on support plans for managing behaviour, transitions, or classroom challenges, tailored to your child’s needs.

    • Participation in meetings with school staff (e.g., teachers, learning support, administrators) to discuss needs, progress, and strategies moving forward.

    • Clear, collaborative discussions with your child’s school team to share and explain assessment results, and support the implementation of recommended accommodations.

    • Personalized letters from our psychologists to support school accommodations, advocacy for services, or documentation of diagnoses and recommendations when needed.

These services can be booked individually or as part of follow-up after an assessment. We are willing to work collaboratively with families and schools to ensure recommendations are understood and implemented in meaningful and realistic ways.
